Tarot Secrets: Knight of Pentacles
a picture of the Knight of Pentacles card from the tarot, illustrated by Pamela Coleman Smith When the river runs red and blood seeps into the ground on which you stand, there are two choices. Look outwardly for help to come from an unexpected quarter (from the east, on the third day, perhaps), or look in, and take stock of what you possess that can be brought to bear. It's not an either-or thing, of course. You can - and really, you must - do both. Which you do first, though, can be revealing.

Who are my allies? What do I already possess?

When there's enough time, we'll ask both questions and consider both answers. In the heat of the moment, though, we may ask only one. And the one we ask first may say something about which of these - our alliances or our intrinsic resources - are in danger of being exhausted first.
